Only one day later, however, her mind altered and went back to the shelter to take Patty dwelling.

Shelter warden Deborah Broughton informed 8News that Patty had attempted to bite her when asked Patty was euthanized so rapidly. “The owner wants the dog, and I don’t know that I have any way whatsoever of getting a new owner for this dog. She has already attempted to bite at me, she’s not happy, she’s in a stressful environment and therefore the chances are just bad in favor of her, ” Broughton told 8 News. “What I can tell you is when I make decisions, I try to make determinations where I can put my head down during the night, and feel like I made the decision that is correct, and I feel like I made the correct decision.”
It’s an awful condition and unfortunately, the ultimate price was paid by Patty. We are greatly saddened to find out this news, but hope it functions as a reminder that taking your dog to the shelter should be a very last resort. We understand that times that are difficult happen and that Thomas was trying to do what was best for Patty. But, we motivate other people to reach out to rescues directly when attempting to locate new homes for their pets. Patty will be deeply missed and we expect resting serenely is ’sed by her as not one of this was her fault.
